BHQ Exclusive Spyderco Yojimbo 2 Coming TOMORROW!

Spyderco Yojimbo 2 Exclusive Blade HQ Natural G-10 Golden Colorado CO

The Blade HQ Exclusive Spyderco Yojimbo 2

In collaboration with Spyderco, Blade HQ presents the Exclusive Spyderco Yojimbo 2. Designed by acclaimed self-defense and martial arts instructor, Michael Janich, this exclusive run of knives features natural G-10 handle scales and a CPM-M4 blade steel. This knife is a perfect tactical EDC or collector’s piece.

Releasing at 10AM MT on October  2nd, 2018, these knives were produced in extremely limited numbers and will not be restocked.

Michael Janich’s Knives

Inspired by personal defensive carry, Michael Janich’s Yojimbo 2 is a tactical beast. Every element on this knife is an active decision with the ultimate goal of making you a more lethal human in the event of a physical altercation.

A straight, Wharncliffe blade delivers full power all the way from heel to tip. The knife is easily deployed in a multitude of ways and the knife itself can be gripped in any number of different positions. The Yojimbo 2 features Spyderco’s Compression Lock which boasts a number of extreme benefits. To disengage the lock, your fingers never need to be in the path of the blade. Additionally, the blade can never be accidentally closed during use as the locking mechanism is against the hand during use. The blade sandwich locked open between the blade ramp and the stop pin. The blade pushes deeper on thrusts due to the ramp-like blade shape.

The Yojimbo 2 succeeds the original, but both models are incredibly similar. The main difference we see from 1 to 2 is the removal of blade spine jimping, a 4-way ambi pocket clip, and slightly increased blade length. This Blade HQ Exclusive features CPM-M4 blade steel and Natural G-10 handle scales.

Is this knife all (tactical) bite or does it hang as an EDC knife, too? With a mix of strong ergonomics, 3″ of blade, and a nice ride in the pocket, this knife is worthy of rotation time even if you’re more Mr. Miyagi than Jet Li.

Don’t miss your chance to add this classic to your collection! 10AM MT on October  2nd, 2018. The Blade HQ Exclusive Spyderco Yojimbo 2.

Andrew Hamilton showed up to interview at Blade HQ for a copywriter position with 3 knives in his pocket. His love for the outdoors, 3 years on a horse ranch, and strong taste for vintage clothing define his writing and his flow. He's got tattoos of all flavors from sailing ships to skulls, and he carries anything from a Manix 2 to a GEC Whaler. This guy's legit, folks. (bio by Ben)

  1. This looks really slick and I hope to get my hands on one. Not sure if I’ll EDC or case it, but I have carried the YJ2 for a while and it’s a great blade.

What I would really like to see is a rerun of the BHQ exclusive Benchmade Autospike (pretty please?). I wasn’t able to get ahold of it the first time and can’t seem to find one.

Another option would be the Kershaw Pub in CF and VG, S35vn or Aogami Blue steel (Shun, their sister brand uses it in the Cosentino blades).
